Affordability of 200 Major World Cities + Home Price (Remixed)

via eyeball1234:

I tried to incorporate as much feedback as I could from my last post. This viz shows the home price for 200 cities around the globe, organized according to an “affordability index” that reflects the ratio of price to income. Home price is shown on the top X axis, the affordability index is the bottom x axis (gridlines correspond to affordability index, also the sort). The X axis is organized by continent, then by city. (Fun fact: a $865k home in San Jose, CA is way more affordable than a $109k home in Kiev). All values are median.
