Chinese government has summoned the founder of China’s third-largest tech firm, Meituan. China reportedly warned Meituan Chairman and CEO, Wang Xing, and asked him to keep a low profile. The crackdown on Meituan is over the alleged monopolistic business practice of forcing merchants to ‘pick one from two’. Meituan is currently under investigation over allegations of abusing its market dominance.
