AMD beat by a cent, they missed on revenues, they guided flat the next two quarters, and while they’re taking market share from INTC, their revenue growth is noticeably slower than Intel’s (so much for Intel having nowhere to go but down). They’re not doing any damage to Intel’s business thus far, there are just lots of articles painting a beyond-best-case-scenario for 2019. They’re also still barely profitable and saddled with massive debt, including piles of toxic convertibles. You know, the kind Micron was aggressively ridding themselves of before starting their buybacks because of how bad it is.
Wall street is just pumping that stock like nobody’s business. It’s TLRY in slow motion.
I hope all you guys get out before the ER, or buy puts to cover your entire positions. If Lisa didn’t lie with the flat guidance, AMD stock’s balloon is in severe danger of popping until Rome and Ryzen 3 are actually out and have legs.
