Starting July 1st, eBay will automatically collect sales taxes from buyers whose shipping address are in the below states:
AL, AR, IN, KY, NM, OK, PA, RI, SD, VA, WV, WY, VT
Other states to be added to the list on October 1st: CA, ND, SC, TX, UT
Previous states added earlier this year: MN, WA, IA, CT, DC, NE, NJ, ID, NY

This will lower sales as buyers have an additional expense to account for. It makes purchasing off eBay a less attractive option when alternatives exist.
