GDPR: Tech firms struggle with EU’s new privacy rules

On the eve of GDPR, reports are pouring in that a number of tech companies are either closing down or have decided to exit the EU market.

Regulations almost always benefit the big players in a space more b/c it’s a huge pain to keep up with it. For my small online business, it was a pain, not hugely so because I thankfully deal with very little customer data, but yeah… this stuff will always help the guy with more resources over the little guy.

On the other hand, this is designed to give consumers more power; gotta decide what’s more important overall.
