It’s amazing how short of a memory the left has. East v West Germany. The failure of the USSR, The Great Leap Forward, Cuba, etc.
I think it comes from a mindset that infects the left, the smug, I am very smart, I know what’s best for everyone attitude. The “that wasn’t true socialism” argument. The arrogance that takes to think that YOU know better than all the great thinkers/philosophers/religious leaders and if only if you were given power over your fellow man, everything would be better.
Their ideas and principles always lead to tyranny and mass murder, because they must force the populace to bend to their will.
Socialism denies the sovereignty of the individual and is bigotry and jealousy of the “haves”
Also, didn’t he get kicked off a commune for being too lazy?
