This should prove interesting.

Now that we know the house only does things that will benefit them directly…

Are they afraid they’re going to be arrested for crimes? Are they worried they won’t get bail so they can flee?

Are they worried that when they flee their assets will be confiscated like everybody else?

I know, why not make a law that will ensure they get bail so they can flee and not lose their assets!
