Russia has placed its ‘Bastion Anti-Ship Missile’ batteries in the Kuril Islands just north of Japan’s northernmost island Hokkaido. They can effectively control north & east to the Bering Sea, all the way to Dutch Harbor Alaska.
It’s being done in solidarity with their economic ally China, who has complained about all the anti-China re-arming going on around them, by the US-Japan-Oz-NATO-UK, etc.

my sources say DC expects the next moves Russia will make in the Kurils is to beef-up air protection for the missile batteries in that part of the NW Pacific ocean.
in other words, what’s unfolding is a response to the MASSIVE RE-ARMING GOING ON ALL AROUND THE TAIWAN QUESTION, with Russia just REALLY RAISING THE ANTE ON THIS GEO-POLITICAL POKER GAME
