Eastern Europeans have a saying: we’ve just got out communism, after 45 years of Hell, only to discover that the West is marching (this time benevolently) into the same hellhole we’ve just managed to escape from. And this is not a joke either. The West’s essential institutions are pathologically corrupted by cultural Marxism, which is just another word for communist infiltration. The Church, the higher learning institutions, the mass media, the corporate culture, the body politics, everything leans heavily on the left nowadays both in the United States and in Western Europe. And anyone who’s to the right of Mao is labeled by the MSM as extreme right and stupidly associated with Nazis (which were socialists).
But today’s news is about the new Gulag (read Gulag Archipelago by famous Russian dissident Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn) which is spelled Goolag in newspeak. We just got word that YouTube, which is a Google-owned company, censored (as in put in YouTube jail) a videoclip about the European migrant crisis. The respective videoclip was uploaded on YouTube by Poland’s conservative government, which, by the way, is very nationalistic and anti-mass immigration.
By YouTube jail, we refer to the company’s new censorship tool that puts politically incorrect videos in some sort of internet quarantine, which means you cannot comment on them, you cannot share them, you cannot embed them on your website, you cannot search for them, you cannot monetize them and they’re also removed from a user’s recommended video list. Basically, a quarantined video is as good as dead, except it’s still there (provided you have the link saved), so YouTube can say its collective authoritarian hands are still clean. Which they aren’t.
The video released by Poland’s Minister of Interior opens with epic and dramatic scenes of illegal immigrants also known as refugees entering Europe by the hundreds of thousands and it highlights European Union’s leaders obsession that the “invaders” be spread (read forced on unwilling nations like Poland) via compulsory quotas throughout Europe. The powerful video is now in limbo, i.e. in limited state, even if it doesn’t break the platform’s rules. However, YouTube claims the video contains extremist/supremacist content, and I encourage you to see it and judge for yourself.
Google’s new censorship tool was implemented back in August and it bans any type of content that, let me quote: “promotes violence or has the primary purpose of inciting hatred against individuals or groups based on certain attributes” and also “content intended to recruit for terrorist organizations, incite violence, celebrate terrorist attacks, or otherwise promote acts of terrorism.”
The video was claimed to contain ‘hate speech’, yet no such thing actually exists; the term is an emotive label intended to blur the distinction between incitement to violence and the free expression of opinion. The aim, of course, is to stifle the latter and not the former.
It’s amazing to me to see that in 2017’s Western Europe/US telling the truth is considered hate speech. As George Orwell put it, “In times of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act” and
“The further a society drifts from truth,
the more it will hate those who speak it.”
Youtube/Google is a “self censoring” organization that only censors what it says isn’t according to their guidelines, which seem to dynamically change daily, just like in Orwell’s book 1984.
In case you did not know, YouTube is run by a far leftist SJW feminist who says “Yah” a lot and talks about social justice, so it’s obvious where this hard censorship comes from. Case in point: Computing forever did two videos last year: one called “10 reasons to vote for Hillary Clinton” was fine. The other called “10 reasons to vote for Donald Trump” was demonetized.
YouTube (Goolag) is now stepping up the censorship with the restricted state, which stops anyone from commenting, liking or finding a video through the home page. They also keep their terms and conditions deliberately vague to allow them to mute non leftist voices with impunity. If Orwell were alive today he would change the name of 1984 to 2017. This is exactly what he was warning us about; the power of the state, or in this case, a couple of very powerful companies, to control what we see and what we can believe. Truly scary.
