If all world views are equal than the one that is just correct will win? Right? Why doe the left have to censor people if their opinions are the correct ones? Shouldn’t they value debate? If the right wing is so backwards and racist then they will obviously lose any debate.. hmmm. But yet they continue to censor and discriminate..
Facebook has announced permanent bans today on several figures and organizations including Milo Yiannopoulos, Alex Jones, Infowars, Paul Joseph Watson, Laura Loomer, Paul Nehlen, and Louis Farrakhan, for being “dangerous.”
Facebook has removed all accounts, fan pages, and groups affiliated with these individuals after it reevaluated the content that they had posted previously and their activities outside of Facebook, the company said.
Infowars is subject to the strictest ban. Any account that shares Infowars content will see the content removed, and if an account violates terms on multiple occasions it will be banned. Facebook and Instagram will remove any content containing Infowars videos, radio segments, or articles, and Facebook will remove any Groups set up to share Infowars content and Events promoting any of the banned extremist figures.
Facebook says users may still praise the banned figures on Instagram or share content related to them that doesn’t violate other Instagram and Facebook terms of service. “We’ve always banned individuals or organizations that promote or engage in violence and hate, regardless of ideology. The process for evaluating potential violators is extensive and it is what led us to our decision to remove these accounts today,” a Facebook spokesperson said.
However, critics say Facebook has continued to allow left-wing groups, figures, and pages to publish hate content with little restriction.
