This caught my eye today:
Aducanumab is the first #Alzheimers medication approved by @US_FDA since 2003.
However, almost everything about this drug is controversial, from the theory on which the drug is developed, to its clinical trials data, to the #FDA approval itself. t.co/WovBhTUtfM

Let me guess, a full treatment of said drug runs close to $100k and might reduce the time period of cognitive decline for a few weeks at best.
Biogen will run commercials with old people seemingly living healthy lives outside with grandkids, claiming this will be you on the drug, instead of the reality of being in a nursing home, still forgetting your daughter’s name.
Kind of like the heart failure drugs that cost $75k and have a median survival of an extra two to four weeks.
But the commercial makes it seem like you get more time playing Frisbee and going out on your boat.
Reality is that you are in a hospital bed, and your family gets to watch you suffer for a couple more agonizing weeks.
Why is it that if my company makes false and misleading statements, we will get sued, fined, and potentially put out of business, but, drug companies can lie all day long and make false and misleading commercials about the efficacy of their products?
Thousands of people who suffer from psoriasis committed suicide after taking injections meant to help their skin.
Why does a drug meant to help clear your skin cause manic depressive episodes strong enough to bring someone to commit suicide?
The drug itself is so bad that if the person taking it stops, their psoriasis comes back far worse than ever, making them go back on at a higher dose.
I guess that is a feature, not a bug.
These companies are not heroic, prolonging life and healing the sick.
They are vampires, feeding on the vulnerable, sucking their life’s earnings, so executives can buy another yacht.
$76 billion was made in one year with “free” Covid vaccines.
I think the shot was far more important than the truth of the disease.
