First you have Steve Cohen, who has represented Memphis since 1982.
Cohen is the first Jew to represent TN in Congress and the first Jew to represent a majority black district, which now comprises the entire city of Memphis.
Cohen once told reporters that he would become the first White member of the Congressional Black Caucus, but the CBC refused.
David Kustoff represents northwest Memphis and a large expanse of White rural Western TN.
Kustoff went to law school and opened a law firm with the current mayor of Memphis, Jim “we’ve been sinning for 400 years and it’s time to fix it” Strickland.
As U.S. Attorney for Western Tennessee, Kustoff created a program called “Operation Safe Community” aimed at reducing crime in Memphis (LOL).
Kustoff served on the board of Bank Tennessee before running for congress as an avid supporter of Donald Trump in 2016.
There are only two things we can do with a place like Memphis — abandon it, or reconquer it.
