A total of 3,245 people fell ill after a bacterium escaped from a biopharmaceutical plant that produces vaccines for animals in northwest China in 2019, health authorities said in recent hours.
Authorities in Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu province, reported that the city’s state laboratory used an expired disinfectant in July and August 2019 in the production of brucellosis vaccines for animals.
