Elon Musk: Attacking Trump Is Pointless, Won't Achieve Anything

by Amna El Tawil

Elon Musk, a business mogul, and innovator, spoke to Gizmodo website and said that Donald Trump won’t yield to protesters and is more likely to be swayed by reason. He said: “This is something we need to strive for and the more voices of reason that the President hears, the better. Simply attacking him will achieve nothing. Are you aware of a single case where Trump bowed to protests or media attacks? Better that there are open channels of communication.”
Musk, who is an advisor on Trump’s Strategic and Policy Forum, is known for supporting clean energy through ventures such as Tesla Motors, which builds electric cars, and SolarCity, which focuses on renewable energy. Famous mogul has already held meetings with Trump on several occasions.

“CO2 [carbon dioxide] isn’t exactly pollution, but it does cause warming and slight acidification of water if very large quantities are dug from deep underground and added to the surface cycle,” he explained, adding “we won’t ever go to zero CO2, but the rate over time should be dropped far below what it is today.”
Musk proposed achieving this through a “carbon tax” that would progressively tax activities producing greater carbon more heavily taxed.
“Start low and increase it until the desired outcome is achieved. This can be offset by a reduction in other taxes, like sales tax, which is quite regressive. This is analogous to taxing cigarettes and alcohol more than fruits and vegetables, which everybody agrees makes sense. We should have higher taxes on the things that science says are probably bad for us than those that are probably good for us,” he said.
On Tuesday, Musk also posted a series of tweets in support of former ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson, who will likely be secretary of state under Donald Trump.

  1. I’ve read about Musk. He’s kinda assburggery, so it’s hard to tell if he understands, CO2, is the life gas of plants, including plankton which makes most of the Earth’s O2. That’s OUR life gas. The ONLY thing that happens with increased CO2, is that crop harvests increase. That’s what the globalists want to stop, nothing else.
Anytime you hear anyone say Carbon Tax, you hear a globalist, oligarch/minion bastard. Remember Agenda 21. Remember what “Zero Footprint” is: you are dead. First turn you off: minimize your carbon footprint, then zero it. “Think Globally, but Act Locally: Save the Earth, Kill Yourself.” Well, carbon taxers, you first.
Lord Monckton gives devastatingly accurate rebuttals to fake climate science. As a member of the British Elite he knows the Trivium and was taught the rhetoric, logic and propaganda tools usually used to fool the plebs into compliance and destroys them, because once you know the weapons of mass deception, you are immune to them.

    • Its looking very grim indeed. Trump is too weird. It doesn’t even read books. It watches Faux and tweets and skips intelligence briefings and has this deplorable ego thing which needs stroking. Can you imagine having to tell him the bad news all the time, having to deal with grumpy face and all the division he casts.

  2. The carbon tax is a scam meant to usher in a long coveted global tax to these banking cabals that have tentacles all over everything already. All of these so-called business moguls are cheap cowards in expensive suits.

  3. Kind of like Bill Gates philanthropy. A man who has enough wealth to end world hunger and barely dent his fortune is more concerned about injecting foreign children with god knows what first?
