  1. Some wisdom from Tom, Bill, Mark and Joe…
“The control of information is something the elite always does, particularly in a despotic form of government. Information, knowledge, is power. If you can control information, you can control people.”Tom Clancy

“We’ll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false.”
William Casey CIA Director (from 1st staff meeting 1981)

“If you don’t read the newspaper you are uninformed. If you do read the newspaper you are misinformed.” Mark Twain

If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it….It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent…the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.

  2. Great article, really good illustration of how the media do not care about truth or even consistency. You would think that any rational person could see how manipulated the news is, but many people just do not seem to see it. My brother firmly believes that “it would be impossible for the press to propagandize! There are a thousand reporters out there who are trying to win a Pulitzer Prize! If there were some giant conspiracy, all it would take is ONE reporter to blow the whole scheme wide open and win that prize!” The scary thing is that my brother is not stupid. Blind maybe, but not stupid… I cannot understand how he fails to see what is right in front of him.
By the way, one small observation — I have noticed of late how the press seems to be playing up Vice President Pence. Trump is still being portrayed as the new Hitler, but the reports that mention Pence seem to be (at worse) neutral, with some of them actually favorable. Is the press setting up public emotions to accept a President Pence? Or maybe just a mostly-figurehead President Trump, while Pence runs things in the background (like Bush Sr. did with Reagan)?
