It is 13 weeks until the end of the year. Just how bad do you think are things going to get during Q4 2022?

Current major worries:

  • Global markets are looking extremely precarious. (Stocks, Corporate bonds, Sovereign bonds, Energy, Commodities, Crypto, Real Estate)
  • In the event of a severe market meltdown (hello October), will the global financial system (banks, credit markets, currencies) avoid collapse? Can the central banks & governments contain a crisis worse than 2008’s GFC should that eventuate?
  • World War 3: chance of this occurring has increased somewhat this year.
  • Other problems (Covid, Hurricanes, China/Taiwan etc)

“In economics, things take longer to happen than you think they will, and then they happen faster than you thought they could”. – late MIT professor Rudiger Dornbusch
