(Natural News) One of the most “progressive” cities in the country – a well-known hotbed of liberalism, replete with aggressive activism for things like LGBT rights and government action on “climate change” – has become so filthy and disgusting due to its “anything goes” policies that a major medical convention has decided to stop holding its events there.
The city in question is San Francisco. And the medical convention, though choosing to remain anonymous in media reports about its cancellation, is so significant that it draws in about 15,000 visitors and generates more than $40 million worth of economic activity – none of which will go to the City by the Bay from this point onward, thanks to its continued degradation.
According to local news, some of the biggest deterrents include open drug use, threatening behavior, and prolific mental illness, all of which have become hallmarks of a locale that, in years past, was one of the number one tourist destinations in the world.
Another problem in San Francisco is human feces, a 20-pound bag of which was recently found dumped on the street. All of this and more is turning people off from wanting to visit the iconic city, threatening to kill its number one industry: tourism.
“It’s the first time that we have had an out-and-out cancellation over the issue, and this is a group that has been coming here every three or four years since the 1980s,” stated Joe D’Alessandro, president and CEO of S.F. Travel, San Francisco’s convention bureau.
Sponsored solution from the Health Ranger Store: Lab-verified Nascent Iodine solution is a dietary supplement that provides your body with supplemental iodine to help protect your thyroid during radiation exposure. Nuclear accidents such as Fukushima (or nuclear war) can expose your body to radioactive iodine-131, a dangerous radioisotope. Pre-loading your system with stable iodine occupies the iodine receptor sites on your organs, causing your body to naturally expel radioactive iodine you may have been exposed to through air, food, water or milk products. This defensive strategy is recommended by nearly all health authorities, worldwide, including the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Discover more at this link.
“They said that they are committed to this year and to 2023, but nothing in between or nothing thereafter. After that, they told us they are planning to go elsewhere – I believe it’s Los Angeles.”
Third World immigrant says San Francisco is worse than his homeland
Crime has also grown rampant in San Francisco, where some 31,000 thefts from vehicles were reported just in the year 2017 alone. This amounts to about 85 thefts from vehicles per day throughout the city, reflecting the sentiment expressed by many convention-goers who said they no longer even feel safe walking around San Francisco.
In the below video, you’ll see a KPIX CBS Bay Area reporter interviewing locals about the many problems that plague San Francisco. One man explains that he can just “smell” the problems – quite literally in the case of vagrants peeing in the streets and the stench of uncleanliness emanating from one of the area’s many tent “cities.”
“I am from a Third World country, and it’s not as bad as this,” stated another man, revealing just how low the city has fallen on the scale of habitability.
A large part of it can be chalked up to San Francisco’s uber-liberal policies that cater to the lowest common denominators in society, all at the expense of maintaining even a basic level of civility and decency. It’s been a progressive slide towards total degeneracy that’s really starting to cost the city, especially in terms of its $9 billion per year tourism industry.
Other conferences, including the recent Game Developers Conference, have expressed similar sentiments about the degrading conditions throughout San Francisco. Many of its 28,000 attendees expressed concerns about the unsafe “vibe” of the city, which includes many first-hand accounts of people being assaulted, mugged, and even knifed by crazy people roaming around the streets.
“I’ve never seen any other city like this – the homelessness, dirty streets, drug use on the streets, smash-and-grabs,” D’Allessandro told the San Francisco Chronicle during a recent interview.
