Obamacare’s Failure Cannot Be Blamed On Trump As Premiums Go Up By 75% In The Near Future.

by Pamela Williams

The forecast for Obamacare premiums for the near future are to go up by 75%, and there are real people, sick people, average American people who will be hurt by this.  Did anyone really care?  I think President Trump did – that is why he tried to replace it.

CNN gets it wrong again:
“After a dramatic day on Capitol Hill, Ryan rushed from the White House to Capitol Hill to tell Trump he did not have the votes to pass the measure, the culmination of seven years of Republican efforts to eradicate President Barack Obama’s proudest domestic achievement.
As Ryan presented the dire vote totals in his meeting with Trump, he explicitly recommended the President pull the bill, according to a senior GOP official. The decision was ultimately Trump’s. Trump made the call at 3 p.m., as the rest of House leadership was gathering in Ryan’s office.
Ryan told fellow Republicans they are “moving on” from health care, Reps. Andy Barr and Bill Flores told CNN.
The decision to delay the vote marks an acute embarrassment for Trump, who had gambled big by presenting holdout House conservatives with a take-it-or-leave it ultimatum on Thursday night and put his own credibility on the line.”

“Embarrassment for Trump”….not quite, CNN.  This is an embarrassment for those politicians, including bigtime for Paul Ryan, who did not have enough sense to at least pass a replacement for Obamacare before it implodes and causes total chaos for many sick and desperate Americans.  I will never forget the average Americans President Trump met with at the White House to discuss Obamacare.  There were horror stories, and now those Americans are stuck with the horror that is Obamacare.

This isn’t an embarrassment for Trump. It’s an embarrassment for establishment Republicans – who have now proven to the people that they’re politically impotent.
It also puts Ryan in a much weakened political position, after being defied by his own conference, which seems just as unsuited to governing in the Trump era as it was when it was effectively a protest coalition under Obama.  Some things never change.

Paul Ryan is not an ally of President Trump, although he has put on a good show.  President Trump can see through his sheer façade of nonsense.  He has been working behind the scenes to set Trump up from the very beginning.  This is actually a part of his plan, but it is going to backfire on him.  His time is short.  Obamacare is going to be a disaster – and the ones to reap the blame will be the establishment Republicans who couldn’t manage to repeal it, as well as Obama and the Democrats.  Many woes to those who have not even thought of the sick in America.

So, here we go.   Republican officials in Congress and the White House are now openly discussing finding a GOP replacement to Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) as Speaker of the House, after Ryan failed to pass the American Health Care Act out of the House and misled the public and President Donald Trump when he promised repeatedly the bill would pass.  It is a mystery to me if President Trump really trusted Ryan, but truly I don’t think he did.  I think he gave them all a chance to come up with something to replace Obamacare with, but I don’t think he really trusted that they would.
President Trump is getting used to betrayal, and he probably saw this coming.  But the important aspect here for Trump is he will not be blamed when Obamacare implodes upon the fragile and sick in this Country.  Make no mistake about it, the suffering coming from those with Obamacare is going to get worse.  If the American Health Care Act had been passed, at least there would have been no penalties for Americans.  If they opted out, they would not have had to pay a penalty.  Now it goes back to the penalty if one opts out.

Breitbart News reports:  Many allies of the president and several White House officials over the weeks since have confirmed to Breitbart News that the president is concerned that Ryan may not have his—or his agenda’s—best interests at heart. Ryan’s failure to deliver the votes on healthcare cement Trump’s skepticism of Ryan, they say.
“This is another example of the staff not serving the president well and the weakness of the Paul Ryan speakership,” a source close to President Trump told Breitbart News. “This calls into question once again the speaker’s commitment to supporting Donald Trump and his agenda.”
“Speaker Ryan proved today that he does not have the best interests of the President at heart,” said another source close to the president. “He sold out the president and showed his word can be taken with a grain of salt. There is only one course of action that should be taken to move past this catastrophe and that is the swift removal of Paul Ryan from the speakership.”
White House sources tell Breitbart News that the president is very frustrated with Ryan and feels that he has saved him multiple times already. After the election in November, it was widely reported that there were enough Republican votes to remove Ryan as Speaker—and the only reason conservatives kept him is that Trump won the election and embraced Ryan. But now Trump may perceive Ryan as a burden rather than someone who can help enact his agenda.

So this is no surprise to say the least.  I think Paul Ryan has dug his own hole, and he will be filling it soon.  I don’t think there are many of us who will hate to see him go.  He has played with the lives of the American people long enough.  He has had ample time to get a replacement for Obamacare and stop the misery of so many Obamacare patients.   At the very least President Trump wanted to offer competition in the Insurance Markets for patients, but that is gone, too.

  1. Paul Ryan is a total snake and it bothers me that we all have known it for years and president Trump could not figure it out that Ryan has always been out to sabotage him and his agenda.

  3. How about having the Attorney General send letters to every water district in the country that fluoridates water.
Remind them that it is a capital crime to mass poison the citizenry; and that they will prosecute & seek the death penalty for forced ‘medication’ if fluoride is added after December 31, 2017.
Do that first before attempting to reform health insurance.
The bottom 20% is un-insurable {they use charity care} The top 20% doesn’t need allopathic medicine. So figure out an “insurance industry for those 20-80%.

  4. I would just pay the penalty and be done with it. We need an alternative where there is NO insurance plan involved. Do AWAY with health insurance.

  5. Obamacare was successful in that it continued the eternal delay of single payer Medicare for all. Our political process is in the hands of lobbyists of the pharmaceutical and insurance industries who continue to amass obscene profits from running an inefficient and corrupt system on the American people.

  6. Amazes me that people can’t see that Obamacare and Ryancare are giveaways to the crooked insurance industry. We need to get rid of several useless federal agencies, cut Pentagon spending and install single payer.

  7. Ryan’s failure was for not repealing Obamacare, not because he was unable to get the votes for his lousy replacement. Ryan and the rest of the politicians do not want to lose the bribes from Big Pharma and the Healthcare Industrial Complex, nor does it want to relinquish control for their population reduction deathcare.
