The paranoia and laziness surrounding COVID-19 honestly makes me frustrated and scared for our future. (Rant)

I know there have been a lot of posts about this topic, and I’d hate to add yet another generic opinion to the pile, but I really want to express this. And this may just be one of the only places I can do so without being censored.

The paranoia surrounding this “pandemic” is astonishing. We’re beginning to devolve into a society of hermits who are afraid of sunlight, and unfortunately so many people are brainwashed into thinking it’s justified for the “greater good”.

People blindly believe in figures like Fauci, men and women who have repeatedly contradicted themselves. They refuse to even question where all the “data” of the increasing rates of Corona is even coming from.

What’s the point of saving a few human lives if we aren’t even really “living” in the first place? What’s the point if our society crumbles due to inactivity and protests? America is already in debt; we’re digging ourselves deeper in this hole, in an attempt to climb out of it!

And the worst part is that nobody wants to do anything about it! They think that America has infinite wealth, that they can just continue not working whilst making more each month than those who do! At the end of the day, the virus is only part of the problem- the rest is our own damned laziness.

I’m scared about where are future will lead, far more than I was ever scared of the virus, or North Korea’s Nukes, or terrorism, or any war. A society where people refuse to participate, to join together and face this world with all it’s risks, is a society that will slowly die. I hope people will stop this nonsense and wake up; it’s the only thing keeping me sane.

TL;DR: Far more dangerous than the virus, is our own inaction. Many of us refuse to work or risk ourselves, and this may be our downfall. Too much caution is just as bad as not being cautious enough.
