“The truth is, they want to ban every gun in America. It’s just not politically savvy to admit it. So they try to achieve their goals one gun and one accessory at a time.” —Veteran U.S. Navy SEAL Dom Raso

HR 5087 currently being considered in Congress bans all
semi-automatic firearms capable of deterring multiple attackers. If it
passes the only means by which Americans will retain their civil liberties is by replacement
of the government. Passing of HR 5087 or a bill like it will effectively
take all means of self-defense from the American people. The passing of
such a bill will be the “shot heard around the world, part deux”.
Americans do not give up your semi-automatic firearms. Your freedom and
way of life depends upon them.
In Murdock v. Pennsylvania, 319 US 105: “No State shall convert a liberty into a privilege, license it, and charge a fee therefor.“
In Sherer v. Cullen, 481 F 946 “There can be no sanction or penalty imposed upon one because of this exercise of constitutional rights.“
In Shuttlesworth v. City of Birmingham Alabama, 373 US 262: ”If the State converts a right (liberty) into a privilege, the citizen can ignore the license and fee and engage in the right (liberty) with impunity.“
This is the logical continuation of gun registration, once you register they can come and take your guns. Now it would be prudent to decide whether they are lawful in their manipulation of gun laws. If they are not then indeed some changes in behavior are warranted. One keep a registered firearm where they can come and get it. Also keep others that are not registered is a good idea but does violate he laws which you have to be a politician to get away with. This has been done to good effect in other countries that started gun registration the people there caught on faster than Americans.
