Update On DACA – President Trump Demands Certain Adjustments Or No Go – Battle Begins.

by Ruby Henley
When President Donald Trump announced the end of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program in September, he said he was giving Congress six months to find a legislative solution that would allow the 690,000 young unauthorized immigrants currently protected from deportation under DACA to stay in the country legally.  He said after this time if Congress had not dealt with DACA, he would return to the issue himself.  Many like myself believed he was going soft on immigration, but we were wrong.
It turns out his White House has very specific ideas about what they want that solution to be. Despite the chit-chat with Democrats such as Pelosi and Schumer, President Trump has certain demands he expects to be met. In exchange for allowing DACA recipients to get some sub-citizenship legal status, the White House wants a comprehensive immigration crackdown.
Just what does President Trump want as far as an immigration crackdown?  I will tell you this, he will probably not get it, as it is extensive as it should be.  Trump supporters should be proud and satisfied of his quest on immigration reform.  There is a definite battle ahead, as these are President Trump’s demands:

  1. This demand is the most important to me, but the Democrats will never agree to this:  Requiring employers to use the E-Verify system to verify that anyone they’re hiring is legally allowed to work in the US.  In my opinion, this would not be accepted as those who oppose it would no longer be allowed to use illegal immigrants as low-income employees.
  2. Restricting family-based legal immigration, as the RAISE Act, sponsored by Tom Cotton and a Trump-endorsed bill, suggests cutting legal immigration in half over the next decade. Trump wants Congress to end “chain migration” of family members, preventing citizens from bringing over their parents, adult children, or siblings.
  3. Cracking down on asylum-seekers namely Central American children and families. The Administration is making the point that border security does not just mean apprehending everyone who crosses the US without papers, but it is imperative to be able to deport them quickly after they were caught.
  4. President Trump is not giving up on building a wall for the American people. The first priority listed in the White House’s executive summary is to “Fund and complete construction of the southern border wall.” But Democrats in Congress have made it clear they have no interest in the “wall.”

I have a feeling that Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi may be foaming at the mouth in a fit of rage, due to the loss of a deal they believed they had with Trump.  However, we must not forget Trump is the master of the art of the deal, which means he must also be the master of surprise.

The next chapter in this article is not good, and I just read the breaking news.  I am not going to rewrite the above, as that describes Trump’s original demands.  However, like I said war is ahead, and it has already begun.

Senate Republicans crafting legislation to give amnesty to millions of illegal aliens have entirely “ruled out” including the popular initiative to mandate that employers use E-Verify, a system that weeds out illegal aliens from taking American jobs.
As Breitbart News reported, the group of GOP senators is seeking to give permanent amnesty to an estimated 800,000 to 3.3 million eligible illegal aliens, the majority of which are shielded from deportation by the Obama-created Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
At the same time, a major pro-American immigration priority for President Trump’s administration, mandatory E-Verify — which prevents employers from hiring illegal aliens by forcing them to check each workers’ immigration status — has been totally excluded from any amnesty plan by the Senate Republicans.  END OF QUOTE
I knew they would not give up their illegal immigrant low-income employees.

Chapter two in this report is not surprising to me.  Paul Ryan is someone I find untrustworthy and a hypocrite that only a fool would trust.  If you trust Paul Ryan you deserve what you get.
Diana Martinez-Gonzalez was found dead in a wooded area with a gunshot wound to the head.  She was a Greenville High School student, principal Jason Warren confirmed.

Officers arrested 19-year-old Daniel De Jesus Rangel Sherrer and charged him with murder, kidnapping and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to warrants.

A man accused of killing a South Carolina high school student had been protected from deportation under the DACA program, U.S. officials confirmed to Fox News Thursday evening.
Daniel De Jesus Rangel-Sherrer, 19, is accused of murder, kidnapping and possession of a weapon during a violent crime in connection with the death of 18-year-old Diana Martinez-Gonzalez.
Martinez-Gonzalez, a junior at Greenville High School, was found dead in a wooded area Oct. 4. Officials said she had been forced into the woods and shot multiple times in the head.
“Immediately upon contact, [Rangel-Sherrer] confessed to one of the deputies,” Greenville County Sheriff Will Lewis told reporters.Investigators said a friend of Martinez-Gonzalez was also held against her will by the suspect, but she managed to escape and contact authorities. It’s not clear how Rangel-Sherrer and Martinez-Gonzalez knew each other.

The day after Rangel-Sherrer’s arrest, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) issued a detainer order for the suspect, who was in the U.S. illegally from Mexico. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) later confirmed that Rangel-Sherrer was a DACA recipient.
DACA was created by former President Barack Obama in 2012 and protected an estimated 800,000 undocumented youths from deportation. Recipients were able to request “deferred action” for two years if they were 30 years old or younger on June 15, 2012 or came to the U.S. before turning 16 and had continuously lived in the country since June 15, 2007.
Last month, the Trump administration announced plans to wind down the program by March 5, 2018 and put pressure on Congress to find a legislative fix for the issue.

Now where does Paul Ryan fit into this story?

House Speaker Paul Ryan’s closed-door announcement of slipping amnesty for nearly 800,000 illegal aliens covered by the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program into an end-of-the-year spending deal comes less than a month after a DACA recipient has been accused of murder.
Ryan, according to members of the Republican Study Committee (RSC), is planning to put together a spending deal that includes giving amnesty to the DACA illegal aliens, as Breitbart News reported.
“He did talk about the fact that that would be good if we could get ahead of that as opposed to being reactionary,” RSC Chairman Mark Walker (R-NC) told the HuffPost following the meeting with Ryan.
Two House Republicans confirmed to the HuffPost that Ryan mentioned at the gathering slipping DACA amnesty into the spending deal.

  1. Mexico ended Legal Immigration 100 years ago, China did thousands of years ago. Time for us to follow the common sense of these wise nations or we will not have a nation.
