USA Cuts $285 Million from UN Funding

by Chris Black

It’s Christmas and we’ve just got word about one of the best-ever Christmas gifts a patriot could ever wish for: the US ambassador at the UN Nikki Haley just announced that she negotiated a $285 million cut in United Nations’ “bloated budget”. That’s a big chunk of taxpayers dollars that will not be wasted on that globalist institution next year. Nikki Haley made the announcement on Sunday and she was quoted as saying:

“The inefficiency and overspending of the United Nations are well known. We will no longer let the generosity of the American people be taken advantage of or remain unchecked.”

She might have added that America will no longer be lured by the false song of globalism, but we’ll settle with defunding the UN for now. Nikki Haley explained that since the United Nations is not accountable for the vast amounts of money spent very inefficiently, like any other bureaucracy we know of, this is unacceptable and things must change:

“In addition to these significant cost savings, we reduced the UN’s bloated management and support functions, bolstered support for key US priorities throughout the world and instilled more discipline and accountability throughout the UN system,”

The UN had a budget of $5,4 billion for fiscal year 2016-2017 and according to the ambassador’s statement, we can expect further cuts in its budget in the years to come. Why is this happening? Well, just a few days ago, the vast majority of UN members singled out the United States in a vote of blame via a resolution opposing President Trump’s announcement to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Then, Nikki Haley warned the UN that singling out the US comes with consequences, just like elections:

“The United States will remember this day in which it was singled out in this assembly for the very act of exercising our right as a sovereign nation. We will remember it when, once again, we are called up to make the world’s largest contribution to the UN, and we will remember it when many countries come calling on us to pay even more and to use our influence for their benefit.”

Now, even if the mainstream media lionized Nikki Haley for her “tough stance” in front of the UN, let’s remember that she’s just another Never Trumper ho would crawl over broken glass to get in front of a camera; just a couple of weeks ago when she was asked about those squeezers that accused the President of harassment, she not only didn’t defend him but she threw him under the bus. And speaking of tougher lines at the United Nations, the question to be asked is how come the US portion of the UN budget was only cut by $285 million, when we spent at least 3.3 billion last year? Don’t get me wrong: as long as we continue to cut funding every time there’s a vote against our sovereignty, this is a great start. Next time make it 25%, then 50% and keep going until they get the point.

However, remember that even if Nikki Haley is currently doing a decent job at the UN, just look into her position on immigration, gun control et al and you will start to see the whole picture, i.e. she’s just another RINO/globalist reading a script.

  1. Doing the right thing for the wrong reason.
The Rothschild-Rockefeller-funded UN in its current form needs some serious defunding – but crazy Bush/Clinton-loving genocidal warmonger Haley is into it for the wrong reasons — blackmailing countries that dared disagree with the US government on the Jerusalem issue (an issue where very clearly the US government is wrong and those opposing it are right) back into compliance.
Praising Haley for her part in defunding the UN is like praising a serial killer because one of his victims happened to be a bad person.

  2. The US can only boast about how much it spends on the UN when it actually pays the money, not when it owes it $1.5 billion. Any fraudster can boast about how much money they own when actually they owe it, which is what the US is doing here.

  3. Excellent!
Now, use that $285 million to get homeless Veterans off of the streets, and into a home!
& stop funding Israel, and other nations that love our money, but hate us in general!
Imagine how the savings can be diverted back into housing and infrastructure, Making America Great Again…!
