Change Obama promised and the new world order of the Bush presidents have changed the face of America. The land of the free and the brave has become the land of the lies, oppression, and brutality by those who break the oath they have taken to serve and protect the people.
Once Upon A Crime: U.S. Police Brutality
Miguel Francis-Santiago investigates police brutality in the USA. Hundreds of US citizens die every year at the hands of law enforcement officers. A disturbing number appeared to pose no immediate threat to their killers. Unarmed people being shot, beaten and even suffocated to death by officers, continue to make headlines, despite an almost continuous public outcry. The recent death of Michael Brown, shot by a policeman, caused violent civil unrest in the town of Ferguson.
As a result, 24 US states have introduced police reform proposals in an attempt to prevent excessive use of force. Many disturbing videos showing people being shot by officers often suggest that those responsible are entirely conscious of what they are doing. Miguel meets the victims of alleged police brutality, people who experienced it first-hand and others who lost loved ones to it. They are engaged in a long fight for justice and want answers. They also want the police to be accountable for what they do, most of all though, they hope to prevent more tragic deaths in the future.
The growing use of personal and dashboard cameras by Police Services has exposed just how widespread the problem is and provided the evidence needed to take some rogue police officers to court. Yet, incidents of police brutality continue. For a fuller picture of the issue and why certain communities have lost all trust in how the legal system works, Miguel meets a serving police officer and a prominent lawyer who regularly handles lawsuits against the Police brutality that has affected people throughout the USA., and he even speaks about the issue with Mr Quentin Tarantino.
Miguel explores its causes and asks, what might put an end to it?

  1. I know this is unpopular, but I have NO problem with police using max power to control those who do NOT cooperate and fight them. Those LAO’s who shoot people who do cooperate should be dealt with as harshly as the law allows! Body Cams should be on at all times an officer leaves his car except in the rest room, unless a crime is bein committed in there.

      • I would be willing to bet hundreds and most likely thousands of people are beat down by criminals than Police. The vast majority of the police brutality cases seem justified to me. A few are not. My son beat 5 deputies in a court rom and THEY finally beat him down and I support the Deputies 100%.

  2. Hillary Clinton said a few years back with regards to Israel’s “right to self defense” and alleged victim status- “We are all Israelis now!” She would have been totally correct had she said- “We are all Palestinians now!” Just why in heaven does the USA need Israeli “security” companies to train American law enforcement? It doesn’t! It is just another one of those pig troughs that were built after 911 with the intent of fleecing the American public with these mega government contracts being meted out to the nation the did 911! Go figure that one out! In fact, one of the motivations of 911, and there were many as attested to by what’s happened since then, was the forming of government “security” agencies with contracts being doled out to Israeli firms, not American ones. 911 was a sort of “Mission Impossible” to create a counter-terrorism market to be exploited by the REAL terrorists in the world.
