Woke public schools push hardcore erotic fiction to their students

Here’s our Friday roll-up of the most ridiculous stories from around the world that are threats to your liberty, risks to your prosperity… and on occasion, inspiring poetic justice.

New York Declares State of Emergency After Firing Unvaxxed Health Workers

Tens of thousands of healthcare workers in New York have been fired or placed on unpaid leave for remaining unvaccinated as the deadline set by the state passed.

Now the state is facing a shortage of healthcare workers, as at least 36,000 workers, or 8% of hospital staff in the state have not been vaccinated.

Some hospitals are now suspending elective surgeries— even before the deadline, and one hospital stopped delivering babies because of staff shortages.

So in the name of public health, the government has created a major hospital staffing shortage during a public health emergency…

It’s such a problem that Governor Kathy Hochul declared yet another State of Emergency.

She issued an executive order to allow health workers licensed in other states to work in New York, and to waive re-registration fees for retired health workers who want to go back to work.

(She fails to realize that this will simply create staffing shortages in other states…)

She also plans to activate the National Guard to bring in qualified soldiers to work in the hospitals if these other measures are not sufficient.

Hospital workers went from front-line heroes to second-class citizens pretty quickly.

Massachusetts State Police Resign Over Vaccine Mandate

Dozens of Massachusetts State Police officers have resigned over the state’s mandate for vaccination, but that might just be the beginning.

Coming up against the October 17 vaccination mandate deadline, 20% of the force remains unvaccinated.

The officers’ union unsuccessfully petitioned the courts to put the order on hold.

This looks like another slap in the face to the front-line workers politicians paid so much lip-service to during the pandemic.

Three Virginia schools found pushing hardcore erotic fiction on their students

At least three schools in Virginia have been founded with hardcore erotic fiction books in their libraries, available to students as young as 12.

The books include Lawn Boy by Jonathan Evison, and Gender Queer by Maia Kobabe.

Both contain extremely graphic, sexually explicit (and in many cases) illegal written and visual content… including sex between boys and adult males.

There are illustrations of the characters engaging in oral sex, and plenty of passages like (from Gender Queer): “I can’t wait to have your [….] in my mouth. I’m going to give you the […] of your life. Then I want you inside me.”

(The actual words appear in the book.)

We are primarily funded by readers. Please subscribe and donate to support us!

These books are on the shelf in a middle school library… because some woke school official thought it would be a great idea.

To say that parents are outraged is an understatement.

Multiple videos have emerged this month of parents attending school board meetings to read sexually explicit excerpts from these books.

The videos are embarrassing and hard to watch because the content is extremely sexually explicit.

In fact, the content is so inappropriate that the FairfaXXX County, Virginia school board cut the microphone of parent Stacy Langton as she read an excerpt, and chastised her because there were children in the room…

Which was, of course, her entire point!

If it can’t be read at a school board meeting, why is it available in schools?

Medical Journal Uses Term “Bodies with Vaginas”

The Lancet is a highly respected, peer-reviewed medical journal.

In the September issue, the journal prominently displayed a quote on its cover from one article, which read: “Historically, the anatomy and physiology of bodies with vaginas have been neglected.”

If only there was a more succinct term to describe a “body with a vagina”.

But refusing to use words like “women” will surely help correct the historic neglect of “bodies with vaginas”.

This is the same journal which published Peter Daszak’s letter condemning the Wuhan lab-leak theory.

The Lancet failed to disclose massive conflicts of interest— financial and professions connections to the lab— of Daszak and 26 other scientists who signed the letter.

YouTube Says Free Speech is a Core Value After Removing Russian Opposition Videos

The jailed Putin critic Alex Navalny created a Smart Voting app meant to support candidates running against the ruling party in Russia.

But Google removed the app from its store. Then Google-owned YouTube banned two of Navalny’s videos related to Smart Voting.

But the CEO of YouTube wants you to know that the company still considers free speech a core value, BUT…

“But when we work with governments, there are many things that we have to take in consideration, whether it’s local laws or what’s happening on the ground.”

See, Russian courts have labeled Navalny’s Smart Voting app “extremist” and banned any mention of it online.

How can Westerners see authoritarians like Putin so obviously use “extremism” as an excuse for censorship, but imagine it’s any different at home?

Clearly, the big tech companies will not be standing up for your free speech rights— they’re just following government orders.
