“On Wednesday, Ontario Provincial Police announced the result of just a single month’s investigations into child exploitation.
The heartbreaking results are eye-popping. And deeply troubling.
During November, the OPP and its 26 regional partners across the province laid 551 charges against 122 people while identifying 55 alleged child victims and referring them for help.
Among this twisted roster are teachers — past and present — emergency services personnel, military members, gamers, heavy metal singers and others who are active in local communities.
But detectives say what they uncovered in November was just “the tip of the iceberg.”
To wit: Investigators discovered 834 unique IP addresses accessing child pornography during November.”
