Is there any cause for concern that HALF of U.S. stocks are in a bear market? Or that doesn’t matter because this time is different?

The stock market has been patiently waiting for Amazon and other mega corporations to report their earnings in order to have an excuse to pump the market up further. Oddly, they disappointed, and the entire US market fell. This will obviously have an impact on global markets as they have been heavily reliant on good news out of the US to maintain some level of sanity. It seems like the madness will continue.
