Much has been said about Nancy Pelosi’s “25th Amendment Committee.”
We know that it takes legislation for Congress to remove a president using that amendment.
And it’s unlikely the Senate nor Trump would sign off.
Some think Pelosi might be trying to affect the election by saying Trump is unfit. Others, like the president himself, believe she is doing this to remove Biden (if elected) and install Kamala.
Either way, one senator is fighting back with a move of her own:
Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.) is expected to introduce a resolution to condemn House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) after the Democratic lawmaker announced the creation of a “Commission on President Capacity.”
…
The Republican senator’s resolution that she will introduce suggests Pelosi “has failed to put forward a just cause for invoking the 25th Amendment,” as The Hill reports. It also accuses House Democrats of trying to “delegitimize” the presidency of President Donald Trump.
According to Pelosi’s bill, she wants to make it so Congress can decide if a president should stay in office.
