via lavanguardia:
The carriers have decided to call an indefinite strike at the national level to denounce the non-compliance of the shippers, their clients, with the law that prohibits them from working at a loss and for the lack of control in its application, as announced on Monday. The strike will start from midnight on Sunday the 13th to Monday the 14th of November.
The protest is called by the Platform in Defense of Transport, the group of self-employed and small carrier companies that was already behind the March strikes. The organization has indicated that the strike has been supported by 86% of the votes in the provincial assemblies.
Faced with the possibility of a strike, the Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, Raquel Sánchez, had already indicated this Monday morning that the Ministry is preparing an inspection plan in the sector that will be announced in the “next few weeks”.
