Twitter Inc.’s office in Brussels, Belgium was disbanded, the Financial Times reported on Thursday, citing sources familiar with the matter. The notice raised alarms among European Union officials, as they pondered whether the social media platform would adhere to the bloc’s policies on online content.

According to the sources, individuals in charge of Twitter’s digital policy in Europe, Julia Mozer and Dario La Nasa, departed last week, although it is unclear whether they left on their own initiative or were sacked off. More executives working at the Brussels branch left the company earlier in November.
