In 2022 Google’s Ad Revenue = 224 Billion Dollars. Yet they’ve removed all support

80% of Google’s revenue is from their advertising. Yet recently they’ve removed support from their Google Ads. You can no longer get support online or by phone. Your only option is to email support which takes days to reply.

As an agency that manages close to $100k / month in google advertising budget, I can’t get simple support anymore.

This can’t be good for their upcoming revenue.

In the same line of work, Google support has been in the gutter since 2010 when they first started mass-banning advertisers.

I’ve been using Adwords since they first opened self-serve and it was never great, just great traffic. The support was always hit-or-miss, outsourced, canned, rarely in your favor and late af.

As for upcoming revenue. They’re going to have the same issues as the other Tier A platforms in that earnings will be down YoY because of industry cuts. You’re in the game, you speak with clients, you know spend is decreasing or “pausing” everywhere.

Google might be the last to feel it since the traffic is good, but you also know the margins are getting worse for advertisers. Plenty of startups I knew running break-even traffic on a projected LTV-basis, which basically means in the best of scenarios they make money.

This climate is not the best of scenarios for advertisers, and in turn, shouldn’t be for the platform (Google)
