COUNCIL chiefs have approved plans for a multi-million-pound ‘15-minute city’ in Glasgow.
It will see a massive overhaul of a 4.7 acre site in the city‘s Tradeston area.
The Cook Street Urban Garden project will deliver 750,000 sq ft of residential, commercial and leisure space, all designed to be reachable within a short walk or cycle.
Backed by HP Invest, the scheme sits just 15 minutes on foot from Glasgow city centre.
It aims to build a buzzing new community that complements the area’s urban vibe while restoring balance to city living.
Six architecturally distinct buildings are planned, housing 848 purpose-built student accommodation units, 252 build-to-rent apartments, as well as co-living spaces and a mix of commercial, retail and leisure spots.
