COVID-19 Vaccine

COVID 19-vaccines are effective at protecting people from getting seriously ill, being hospitalized, and dying. Vaccination remains the safest strategy for avoiding hospitalizations, long-term health outcomes, and death.

CDC recommends COVID-19 vaccines for people ages 6 months and older, with discussion of the benefits of vaccination with a health care provider. The FDA authorized the COVID-19 vaccines for the 2025-26 fall and winter virus season in August 2025.
