The entire space complex is red across the board while a handful of retail-fueled names refuse to follow the tape down.
At the same time, retail traders are piling into select names like it’s a liquidity game, not a fundamentals market.
The result is a bizarre divergence where the sector is collapsing on fundamentals while pockets of it are being propped up by momentum and positioning.
Shorts are getting squeezed in individual names even as the broader index-style basket of space stocks bleeds out.
This is no longer a uniform trade.
It’s fragmentation between reality and positioning.
