Brent holds near $104 after weekend Houthi strikes on Riyadh airport and a tanker hit off Oman, with Trump’s diesel deal and ceasefire claim pulling the other way

Saturday Houthi strike on King Khalid International killed 13 and wounded more than 300. Sunday a projectile hit Terminal 4 and started a fire. A drone also hit a tanker off Oman. Brent closed Friday at $104.72, jumped toward $105.50 over the weekend, and traded near $104 on Monday. Analysts note the strikes keep a risk premium above $100 but are not removing new barrels, while the Friday Russian diesel volumes and Sunday energy-ceasefire post work against the price. EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg formally adopted nearly 1,600 new Russia sanctions listings, the largest batch since 2022, more than half tied to ballistic missile production.
