Magdalena Andersson told the speaker Tuesday she still cannot put a government together a month after the election. The centre-left has 176 seats to 173 for the right, but the Left Party wants cabinet posts and the Centre Party refuses to sit with them. This was her second attempt. Speaker Andreas Norlén is still holding a vote Thursday that she expects to lose. She said it then makes sense to hand the mandate to Ulf Kristersson of the Moderates. No sign yet that he can build a majority either.

It has now gone around a month since the left won the Swedish election.
They still have not been able to form a government.
And authorities are still investigating suspected election fraud.
