Wednesday’s hot CPI sent the Nasdaq down 1.88 percent and the S&P 1.11 percent. Thursday morning the selling continued in semiconductors and AI names. CoreWeave, Nvidia and others stayed under pressure. By midday the Dow was up more than 500 points, or about 1 percent. The S&P erased losses and turned green. The Nasdaq cut its decline to roughly 0.3–0.4 percent. Ten-year yields dropped about 14 basis points. Money rotated out of the high-multiple AI trade into the rest of the market.
