After army crawling through a school window to get inside, he credited a brave teacher who was actively fighting with the gunman for buying critical time and giving him an opening; he then dropped the suspect and shot the guy twice while he was on the ground as he reached for his weapon to make sure he was dead and couldn’t hurt anyone else, though the emotional father expressed deep heartbreak and wished he could have saved even more lives.
