State alleges Darren Indyke and Richard Kahn financed and concealed trafficking at Zorro Ranch; large portions of the complaint are sealed.
ALBUQUERQUE, NM — New Mexico Attorney General Raúl Torrez sued Jeffrey Epstein’s longtime lawyer and accountant in federal court Wednesday, accusing the two men of financing and concealing Epstein’s sex trafficking operation at Zorro Ranch and asking a judge to stop them from collecting $75 million from his estate.
The 49-page complaint alleges that Darren K. Indyke and Richard D. Kahn, who now control the estate as co-executors, knowingly took part in a criminal enterprise that trafficked girls and young women to the ranch near Stanley, New Mexico, for more than two decades. It accuses Indyke of structuring cash withdrawals to dodge federal reporting rules and Kahn of explaining away suspicious payments to Epstein’s banks.
The New Mexico Department of Justice says the suit is the first law enforcement action ever brought against either man. Both have denied knowing about Epstein’s abuse.
“Jeffrey Epstein did not operate alone, and his death does not end the pursuit of accountability for the people who helped make his crimes possible,” Torrez said in a statement.
