The report is coming from Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, citing sources close to the mediation team. It has not been confirmed by Washington or Tehran. But Qatar’s public comments today add weight to the diplomatic push: Doha says both governments are reviewing proposals, remain committed to negotiations, and mediators are exchanging terms in real time.

The latest development follows several days of back-and-forth. On October 28, Reuters reported that Iran had dismissed an earlier Qatari proposal as unacceptable. On October 31, Al-Araby Al-Jadeed reported a breakthrough in indirect talks, with possible steps covering Iran’s nuclear program, the Strait of Hormuz and financial incentives. On November 2, Reuters reported that a draft agreement was circulating after Iranian negotiators left Doha. Now Washington has reportedly approved the latest memorandum. Iran’s response is still pending, and Tehran continues to demand an end to the US naval blockade and sanctions before reopening Hormuz.
