Countries affected:

The first major wave hit hundreds of French supermarkets on October 11–12. A second wave spread across Europe on November 2, with the EU warning that the attacks were not isolated incidents.
Whoever thought it was a good idea to enable anyone to do this? Just go back to separate power in individual supermarkets for heaven's sake!

Then the hackers moved into the medical supply chain. On November 2, refrigeration systems at 3 French blood-plasma storage facilities were compromised. Staff caught the temperature changes and secured the plasma before any products were lost.
On November 5, the FBI, CISA and 3 other federal agencies issued a warning about ongoing attacks against industrial refrigeration systems used by supermarkets, hospitals, food suppliers and transportation networks.
BREAKING: Hackers target blood banks in France, attempting to raise plasma freezer temperatures to a scorching 230°F, above the boiling point of water.
