The House of Representatives voted in favor of legislation to re-open some government agencies including HUD and the Department of Transportation, but this legislation is not going to be signed by President Donald Trump. Mitch McConnell has made it clear that he will not introduce bills in the Senate that do not have a chance of becoming law through a presidential signature.

What do many of them have in common, besides being anti-Trump/American by their actions that say they “DON’T and have had years to vote to secure the borders. Time to look at the history of every politician and see if they are 50% or 100% supporting the American people!

Peter Thomas King

Greg Walden of Oregon

He said that President Trump had been “manipulated” by Russian leader Vladimir Putin at the Helsinki Summit. Fitzpatrick said he was “frankly sickened by the exchange” between Trump and Putin. Fitzpatrick said that President Trump should stop attacking the FBI and allow Robert Mueller to complete his investigation, stating it was improper to “judge an institution based on the actions of a few bad actors.”

Fitzpatrick, is the only Republican to receive an endorsement from the Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence, the gun control organization founded by former U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords.

Rodney Davis of Illinois

United States Representative for Illinois’s 13th congressional district since 2013. A Republican, Davis successfully ran for re-election in 2014, 2016, and 2018. Member of the Republican Main Street Partnership, the Veterinary Medicine Caucus and the Climate Solutions Caucus. Davis said in a June 2018 interview that “we’ve got to stop this politicizing everything like dinner.” He added that “Donald Trump was elected, in my opinion, because of this move toward making everything politically correct in this country.”

June 2016, Davis cast the deciding vote on a bill to retain the ability of undocumented immigrants brought to the United States as children to join the U.S. military. The program would allow a quicker pathway to citizenship for those who serve.
