The infected person is admitted to the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, a reference center for contagious diseases. The secretary of Public Salut, Joan Guix, will give more details at a press conference at 4:30 pm this afternoon accompanied by the manager of Salut del Serut integral processes of Salut, Assumpta Ricard.
As reported by the Government, the Generalitat has activated the coronavirus protocol after a positive test was performed on a patient, resident in Barcelona and who had traveled in the last days to northern Italy. The National Center for Microbiology will practice the confirmation test in the next few hours.
