The neocon agenda that’s taken over Trump’s foreign policy has targeted Latin America, in particular Venezuela and more recently Nicaragua. The full picture came into focus when Mike Pompeo appointed the top level neocon Elliott Abrams to be Trump’s special envoy on Venezuela. Abrams is a perfect fit for the job, considering his previous work in El Salvador with US-trained death squads.
