Fight Over Kavanaugh Intensifies – Lindsey Graham Promises To Get To The Bottom Of The Leaking Of Ford’s Letter – Jeff Flake Says If He Lied – No Nomination.

by Ruby Henley

The ‘he said’/ ‘she said’ is amounting to just that.  But it is intensifying in strength – like the perfect storm.  Lindsey Graham is on the war-path about Ford’s leaked letter, and he vows to get to the bottom of it.  Jeff Flake’s plan is going well for him, and he just announced ‘if he lied, no nomination.’

Even James Comey is making a statement – ‘If he lied at all, you have to dig deeper.’  Yeah, here comes Comey again. I am sure that is going as planned.

This week’s FBI investigation into Brett Kavanaugh is happening only because of Arizona Republican Senator Jeff Flake and the two protestors who pushed him into calling for it.

Flake warned everyone up front that he’s still planning to support Kavanaugh in the full Senate vote unless the FBI probe turns up something disqualifying.

Now he’s defining the parameters of what would be disqualifying and that could be very bad news for Kavanaugh.   He can be as pushy as he wants now, as he accomplished the goal of the protestors which was to stop the confirmation vote.

That actually seems like a conspiracy against the United States government to me….to conspire with protestors to achieve their goals….does not seem right ….how could it be?

The professional who questioned Kavanaugh just stated ‘I would not charge him.’  Is anyone taking her serioualy? She is an expert in her field of ‘sexual assault.’  Afterall the taxpayers paid her good money to question the two. Let’s get our money’s worth and listen to her.

Flake is being  very clear now and very direct. He said that lying by Kavanaugh will disqualify him from the Supreme Court.

So the FBI doesn’t have to prove that Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted anyone.  All it has to do is show the Senate that Kavanaugh lied about something – anything – during his Senate testimony when he was under oath.  I bet they will find something…just a guess.

Many people, including Kavanaugh’s former classmates at Yale, are already coming to the media saying that he lied to the Senate about his drinking habits in his youth. There have been other documented lies told by Kavanaugh also.

All of this should make it very easy for the FBI to show that Kavanaugh perjured himself. The evidence for this should be in the FBI report that will be distributed after the investigation has concluded.

James Comey weighed in on the coming FBI investigation on Kavanaugh, ‘Despite limitations and partisan attacks, the bureau can find out a lot about the Kavanaugh accusations in a week.’

Oh, I bet they can, and I bet Comey will have his nose right in the middle of it.

‘The F.B.I. is back in the middle of it. When we were handled the Hillary Clinton email investigation in 2015, the bureau’s deputy director said to me, ‘You know you are totally screwed, right?’

‘He meant that, in a viciously polarized political environment, one side was sure to be furious with the outcome. Sure enough, I saw a tweet declaring me ‘a political hack,’ although the author added, tongue in cheek: ‘I just can’t figure out which side.’

What a joke – which side?

These people never admit to being wrong or making a mistake….never.

He goes on to say, “And those were the good old days. President Trump’s decision to order a one-week investigation into sexual assault allegations against Brett Kavanaugh, his Supreme Court nominee, comes in a time of almost indescribable pain and anger, lies and attacks.”

“We live in a world where the president routinely attacks the F.B.I. because he fears its work. He calls for his enemies to be prosecuted and his friends freed. We also live in a world where a sitting federal judge channels the president by shouting attacks at the Senate committee considering his nomination and demanding to know if a respected senator has ever passed out from drinking. We live in a world where the president is an accused serial abuser of women, who was caught on tape bragging about his ability to assault women and now likens the accusations against his nominee to the many “false” accusations against him.”

Further he said while enjoying his moment in the spotlight,  “Most disturbingly, we live in a world where millions of Republicans and their representatives think nearly everything in the previous paragraph is O.K.”

“In that world, the F.B.I. is now being asked to investigate, on a seven-day clock, sexual assaults that the president says never happened, that some senators have decried as a sham cooked up to derail a Supreme Court nominee, and that other senators believe beyond all doubt were committed by the nominee.”

“If truth were the only goal, there would be no clock, and the investigation wouldn’t have been sought after the Senate Judiciary Committee already endorsed the nominee. Instead, it seems that the Republican goal is to be able to say there was an investigation and it didn’t change their view, while the Democrats hope for incriminating evidence to derail the nominee.”

“Although the process is deeply flawed, and apparently designed to thwart the fact-gathering process, the F.B.I. is up for this. It’s not as hard as Republicans hope it will be.”

“F.B.I. agents are experts at interviewing people and quickly dispatching leads to their colleagues around the world to follow with additional interviews. Unless limited in some way by the Trump administration, they can speak to scores of people in a few days, if necessary.”

“They will confront people with testimony and other accounts, testing them and pushing them in a professional way. Agents have much better nonsense detectors than partisans, because they aren’t starting with a conclusion.”

“Yes, the alleged incident occurred 36 years ago. But F.B.I. agents know time has very little to do with memory. They know every married person remembers the weather on their wedding day, no matter how long ago. Significance drives memory. They also know that little lies point to bigger lies. They know that obvious lies by the nominee about the meaning of words in a yearbook are a flashing signal to dig deeper.”

He ends with, “Once they start interviewing, every witness knows the consequences. It is one thing to have your lawyer submit a statement on your behalf. It is a very different thing to sit across from two F.B.I. special agents and answer their relentless questions. Of course, the bureau won’t have subpoena power, only the ability to knock on doors and ask questions. But most people will speak to them.”

Lindsey Graham promises to get to the bottom of the Ford letter, which was leaked.  It was so funny during the hearing when Graham was trying to find out who leaked the letter.

Feinstein said it was not US!  Her staff was going nuts. But he will find that in the end it was Senator Hirono from Hawaii.

Sen. Mazie Hirono, who has emerged as one of the vital vocal fighters of Preferrred Courtroom nominee Brett Kavanaugh, on Sunday did not immediately reply when requested if she used to be assured Democrats did not strategically leak Christine Ford’s accusations in opposition to him simply days prior to a the most important Judiciary Committee vote.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., won a letter from Ford in July outlining her declare that Kavanaugh had attacked her at a area birthday celebration within the 1980s, and her place of business instantly advisable Ford retain a distinguished liberal attorney. However, as Sen. Lindsey Graham, D-S.C., and different best Republicans again and again famous final week, Feinstein did not practice committee protocols and notify her colleagues or federal government, even on a confidential foundation, in regards to the accusations.

“Are you assured the Democrats didn’t leak that letter, and the way do you reply to Senator Graham’s rate that it used to be beside the point for the Democrats to refer Dr. Blasey Ford to a attorney?” host George Stephanopoulos requested Hirono on ABC’s “This Week.”

“All of this stuff don’t focal point on what we will have to be focusing, which is the credibility of Pass judgement on Kavanaugh,” Hirono, D-Hawaii, replied, prior to calling Kavanaugh’s claims of a political conspiracy in opposition to him “strange.”

So it is moving along, and we will know their verdict soon, but I am already pretty sure what it will be.
