The first minor in the U.S. has passed away Tuesday due to COVID-19.
Public health officials announced that a child, who is only been described as “under the age of 18,” died in Los Angeles Tuesday, according to the Los Angeles County officials.
“A devastating reminder that COVID-19 infects people of all ages,” said Barbara Ferrer, L.A. County’s Public Health director.
There were three new deaths announced during a press conference Tuesday afternoon. One was the youth and the other two victims were between the ages of 50 and 70 years old.
