Just some backround info for you, about the german pension insurance system. Everyone who works in Germany, gets a part of his salary taken and this part is payed to the pension insurance. This money finances everyone who is currently pensioner. When you become 67 years old and becoming a pensioner also, the younger generations who are working are than paying for your pension.
Now look at this folks. This article is from german mainstream media. And it is stating that the german pension insurance made an profit of 2,1 billion euros. The article mentions also that they expected last year a minus of 6,5 billion euros! Nice difference! Of course they admity that this extra money is the result of an higher death rate, but according to them it is the result of the covid pandemic.
