r/wallstreetbets wasn’t actually googled at all before the whole GameStop thing came up on the news. At some point, it got even more interest than reddit itself. I am not sure what actually caused the peak but would be interested to know.
Time is UTC aka London (sorry American folks)
- Data -> Took data from trends.google.es/trends/ with the search terms in the plot. Used Twitter as reference of any other social network.
- Plot -> I basically made a single script to plot it in R (not sure if worth to share because it’s literally 30 lines) and then edited a bit and added the logos in inkscape
