I work for a major grocery chain, for fear of losing my job, I have sat on this but its time to get this out and maybe others here have already shared this information here.
Our stores are now limited to what they can order for the store, it’s nowhere enough to fill our shelves.
Our regional warehouse is running at capacity which is 200K cases/day, what comes into the warehouse is sent out the same day, nothing is in supply at the warehouse. We’re also pushing out a week’s worth of water every day.
Another supplier is completely out of the water to send to us.
We’ve also shut off catalogs for ordering items, stores no longer get to decide what comes in and what they need.
