Heading Into A Civil War–Milo

by SP

I have been reading several articles recently that bring civil war into the realm of “thinkable possibility.”
According to Milo Yiannopoulos, the left-wingers of American society have already ignited a Civil War. With the social engineering and indoctrination already taking place in our schools, it actually doesn’t seem too far-fetched.  [In an interview with Alex Jones, Yiannopoulos says:]

Facebook’s gonna get firebombed, CNN people are gonna be attacked, and we don’t say that with any pleasure….” Milo went on to say that “there is only one inevitable consequence when the architecture of civil society…and reality [is assaulted]”

And Yiannopoulos is not the only one who has taken notice.

Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, who has been at the forefront of looking into major disinformation campaigns such as those of the vaccine industry, agrees.

Chris Hedges  comes at our current state from a slightly more philosophical angle, but saying the similar things.  When only the few run a society, they warp its “reputable and authoritative“ institutions for their own benefit.

Oligarchic rule… cares nothing for competency, intelligence, honesty, rationality, self-sacrifice or the common good. They pervert, deform and dismantle systems of power to serve their immediate interests, squandering the future for short-term personal gain. …
Once oligarchs take power, rational, prudent and thoughtful responses to social, economic and political problems are ignored…  The late stage of every civilization is characterized by the “sophistry of oligarchs”, who ravage the decaying carcass of the state.

“Sophistry” was a new vocabulary word.  Had to look it up.  These are the false arguments intended to confuse or deceive the population that enable ongoing plunder:  Like the NSA surveilling the entire  population to “protect democracy” — when the actual intent is to establish Orwellian control of thought and speech.
Charles Hugh Smith offers some similar thoughts:

A new winter of discontent is chilling the air. ….  the benefits and power have gone disproportionately to the few at the top of the wealth-power pyramid.
The status quo power structures are deaf to the discontent of the common people, and respond with blandishments (Universal Basic Income, etc.), propaganda and a spectrum of repression.

CHS continues quoting Chris Hedges:

The two greatest visions of a future dystopia were George Orwell’s ‘1984’ and Aldous Huxley’s ‘Brave New World.’ …. Would we be, as Orwell wrote, dominated by a repressive surveillance and security state that used crude and violent forms of control? Or would we be, as Huxley envisioned, entranced by entertainment and spectacle, captivated by technology and seduced by profligate consumption to embrace our own oppression? It turns out Orwell and Huxley were both right. Huxley saw the first stage of our enslavementOrwell saw the second.
…While we were entertained, the regulations that once kept predatory corporate power in check were dismantled, the laws that once protected us were rewritten … we are skillfully manipulated by lies and illusions to one where we are overtly controlled.

When our authoritative institutions lie to the people as a normal part of day to day function, how can the average person tell what is true?
A current example is Russia-Gate
Mike Whitney at Unz Review explains his views.

The report (“The Dossier”) that claims that Donald Trump colluded with Russia, was paid for by the DNC and Hillary Clinton campaign.

In fact, each element of the Russia-Gate scandal are traced back to opposition research paid for by the DNC and Hillary Clinton campaigns:

  • ·      The company (CrowdStrike) that claims that Russia hacked DNC computer servers…..
  • ·      The FBI’s counterintelligence probe into Trump’s alleged connections to Russia was launched on the basis of information gathered from the report….
  • ·      The surveillance of a Trump campaign member (Carter Page) was approved by a FISA court on the basis of information from this report.
  • ·      The Intelligence Community Analysis or ICA was (largely or partially) based on information from this report.
  • ·      The information that was leaked to the media alleging Russia hacking or collusion was based on the report.
  • ·      The entire Russia-gate investigation rests on the “unverified and salacious” information from a dossier that was paid for by the DNC and Hillary Clinton Campaign.

Whitney summarizes his impressions:

Regular readers of this column know that we have always believed that the Russiagate psyops originated with Brennan [at the CIA]. Just as the CIA launched its disinformation campaigns against Saddam Hussein and Muammar Gadhafi, so too, Russia has emerged as Washington’s foremost rival requiring a massive propaganda campaign to persuade the public that America faces a serious external threat…

Charles has written about virtue signaling.  I find that in my facebook feed after the Florida school shooting, that the only acceptable attitude among people of virtue is that weapons must be banned.  Don’t you dare say anything different.  So this is a form of functional censorship where outragevirtue and grief are fused to funnel the population into a single acceptable viewpoint.
The weapons ban makes way for the second phase of social control, Orwell’s.  I believe that this marks a transition point where the citizenry becomes powerless before the severest abuses of a police state.  This transition point enables, full Orwell.
