New York in Chaos: NYT: “He Was Charged With 4 Bank Heists,

A man accused of robbing banks in New York City had been
released under a Jan. 1 law that ended bail for most
nonviolent charges.

“I can’t believe they let me out,” he told a detective as
he gathered his belongings, according to a federal
complaint.
